Ferrari 575M

Introduced in 2002 the 575M (with the M standing for Modificata) was ostensibly a comprehensively updated 550 Maranello, already an astonishingly good car. Improvements centred on, amongst other things, a new F1-branded automated single-clutch gearbox (the first to be fitted to a front engined Ferrari V12), a larger 5.75-litre V12 with more power, active dampers and bigger brakes, as well as the obvious styling tweaks care of Pininfarina.
Now boasting 533bhp as opposed to the 550’s 485, 0-100kmph was dispatched in four seconds and the car could now hit 325km/h flat out. It didn’t just go like a rocket though, it also handled impeccably with Evo magazine hailing it as the greatest drivers’ car of the previous decade in 2004. Quite the accolade.
Looking every bit the cover star the 575M is a devastatingly quick car but it’s in the high speed cruising department where it’s most at home thanks partly to a more laid back character and a plusher interior than its predecessor, qualities that mean the 575M is ageing like a fine wine.
Lasting for just four years the 575M represents a rather small chapter in Ferrari’s grand opus but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an incredibly alluring option, with prices lower than many other offerings from Maranello making it a superb choice when it comes to modern classic Prancing Horse ownership, with this particular 2004 Ferrari 575M being no exception.
With a resonably low mileage of 43,719km, this particular car presents in concorso condition in Rosso Corsa with Nero Daytona interior and full service history. Sourced from an impeccably maintained Ferrari collection this example also comes with the rare and highly sought after GTC handling package from factory including ceramic brakes, performance tuned suspension, low restriction exhaust and unique 19 inch wheels. This classic example is priced to sell and won’t last long so don’t delay in organising a viewing and test drive, you won’t be disappointed.
